Mental Health Speakout

The Greek Community is starting up a mental health awareness campaign the week of December 5, 2016,  beginning with a Mental Health Speakout  December 5th at 8pm in Union Pendleton Room! The campaign is dedicated to facilitating conversation about mental health struggles in the Greek community, whether it be related to anxiety, stress, body image, hyper-masculinity, cultural stigma, etc. In addition to the Speakout there will be a vareity of video messages from the four councils released over the next 2 months.

Author Harlan Cohen speaks about Healthy Relationships

On Monday, November 14th, the best-selling author Harlan Cohen visited the University of Michigan campus. Harlan is the author of multiple books to help high school and college students adjust to life on their own. At this event hosted by Greek Life and Hillel, he discussed how to form healthy relationships and be confident in yourself in the most hilarious way possible. Harlan discussed that we all must be comfortable with ourselves physically, emotionally, and spiritually, and that the best relationship we will ever have will be with ourselves.

Hazing Prevention Week 2016

The Greek Community takes a firm stance against hazing and promotes an environment that facilitates positive member experiences in line with organizational, community, and University values. The Interfraternity Council, Multicultural Greek Council, the National Pan-Hellenic Council, and the Panhellenic Association strive to maintain safe environments in which students know that they will not be subject to hazing when joining or affiliating with any fraternity or sorority.

HAZE Movie screening & discussion with director

As part of Hazing Prevention Week, the University of Michigan Greek Community is pleased to present a screening of the award winning film HAZE on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at 6:30pm in the Rackham Amphitheather.   After the screening, there will be a discussion with the film's director David Burkman.

Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority Recruitment

The Panhellenic Assocation is excited to welcome Alpha Omicron Pi to the Univeristy of Michigan campus.  Between September 28th and October 23rd, Alpha Omicron Pi will be hosting a number of informational sessions and recruitment events.
