Greek Week 2012
March 21 - March 28, 2012 found the University of Michigan Greek Community united to raise money for charities while having fun. Over these 8 days, students danced, sang, ate pie, played volleyball, played twister and many other fun things. The 2012 charities were
- Ele’s Place
- Scott L. King Serving Aces for Sarcoma Endowment
- Vada Murray Fund for Cancer Research
- Friendship Circle
- Safe House
Over $52,000 was donated to these 5 amazing organizations. In addition, over $4,000 was donated to the foundations of the winning team's chapters.
Each year, Greek Week holds a blood drive for the Washtenaw County Red Cross. This year 223 pints of blood were collected. Additioanlly, the can castle competition netted 3,185 pounds of canned good for Food Gathers.
